About

This is a repository of information on mobile marketing; smart phone applications; SMS, word-of-mouth marketing, online communities; social media; and live, in-person interaction that all constitutes behavior that is passed along from person to person.

I’m Ken Vernon and I’ll be the primary author working to create and aggregate the musings on this blog .

In over 25 years of marketing, I have been privileged to experience it all. Creating year-long incentive campaigns that created hundreds of millions in sales, building first generation websites for some of America’s best known brands, and then a decade later, being involved in building online communities and internal collaboration for some of the largest brands in the world.

I’ve lead major rebranding efforts and succeeded in executing search engine optimization campaigns that landed the new brand in position 1 on Google.  I’ve managed teams that utilized social media to create a legion of followers on Twitter.

And I have seen first hand the results you can have with an understanding of what true contagious behavior is. It’s not just viral, social, Twitter, YouTube, community, or mobile. It is all of those and, most important, real people with real interaction.

Tag you’re it.
